We went here because of some news about the name we came across. When we saw the Menu, we knew what to get right away. The "wild" section of the Menu is not always available but after checking, I was lucky and got the dish I wanted. Only downside here was that I asked for another side, but that got forgotten and would have taken another 12 minutes of waiting time to change. So I went with what I got. There was a wedding going on at the same time so waiting times were a bit longer but that was expected. When the food arrived all that was forgotten though. The taste was perfect, just incredible tasting German cuisine that made us think to move to this city for it.

4 and 1/2 actually, the only thing I would say is the dishes r all a little bit salty but everything else is perfect, definitely recommend!!

Awesome place! Michelin star worthy food! The restaurant has a very cozy homely atmosphere. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. Words are not enough to describe how delicious the food is. My husband doesn't like vegetables, but even he left the meat aside when the vegetables brought to us. It's really amazing! I definitely recommend visiting this place. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

If you're looking for authentic and very good Northern German food, this is it. The restaurant is quite plain looking, but the food is probably the second best in Schleswig Holstein. Food lovingly prepared, and very adequate portions, this place is highly recommended. Also, the choice of background music is excellent; quiet Mozart throughout our dinner. The prices are more than reasonable. A main course for less than 11 Euros is well below German average, but the food is well above average. Do give it a try.

Certainly not the most modern restaurant in Kiel but surely one of the best, in terms of food. Honest, rustic German cuisine prepared with finesse so that you might get the impression you're eating at a fine dining restaurant. The menu is not too big, yet it features meals for almost every taste and a lot of different drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to go with your food. Staff and owner treat customers very nice so that's another plus. All in all it is definitely worth a try, whatever you're having you'll definitely not regret it.
